VISIBILITY MEDICINE™  ·  A NINE-MONTH GROUP IMMERSION WITH DANIELLE COHEN

VISIBILITY MEDICINE™

A nine-month group immersion for seasoned practitioners, healers, artists, and authors with something important to bring forward, and a body that has opinions about it.

“I want to be seen. Also, please don’t look at me.”

If you’ve ever felt the push-pull of being seen and known, you’re in good company. Visibility Medicine is for seasoned practitioners, healers, artists, and authors with something important to bring forward to share with the world… but a body that has opinions about it.

Of course it’s scary

When I talk about visibility, I’m talking about risking revelation. Risking being known. Risking taking up space in the world.

Risking saying: I have an idea, and I think it’s so worthwhile that I’m going to put it on the page. I’m going to sell it to a publisher. I’m going to call it a course and charge for it.

These are ballsy moves. They take power and nerve. There is zero promise they will be met with acclaim or even kindness.

So of course it’s scary.

You are not the visibility problem

You have deep work you care about. And you want what can come with it: good money, good company, and being seen and known for what you contribute.

And something in your world is changing. Perhaps you’re bringing forward a new body of work, writing a book, changing your business model, or claiming a clearer position in your field. Perhaps the way you have been showing up no longer fits the person or practitioner you have become. Or perhaps being seen has cost you something, and you’re finding your way back to it on new terms.

Most of us are working under a visibility ceiling. “I’m okay as long as I stay in these areas.” Sometimes that’s roomy enough. More often we’re looking for more breathing room and more expression room.

If you find visibility exhausting, confusing, or just plain scary, nothing is wrong with you. Something is very right with you: you’re accurately detecting signs of danger and being appropriately cautious.

A clever marketing strategy won’t address the signals of threat your body is picking up.

Visibility Medicine will.

“Part of her Medicine is Visibility Work in an age where so many people try to ‘influence’ without understanding who they are or why. Danielle is a mix of strategy, warmth, magical active listening, and true witness.”

Dr. Jennifer Mullan, author of Decolonizing Therapy

WHO THIS IS FOR

Visibility Medicine is for seasoned practitioners. Healers, therapists, coaches, artists, authors, educators, and leaders who have been doing their work for years and can feel the next iteration of it pulling on them.

You might be:

  • Writing a book, or about to publish one, and realizing you'll have to sell it. You want to do it in a way that fits you and doesn't feel horrible.

  • Known for one thing, and feeling kind of done with it. Something new is coming through and you don't yet know how to say so out loud.

  • Changing your prices, your model, or your place in your field, and noticing your body has opinions about every one of those.

  • Still being seen as the person on your website from 2019, when you've changed in ways nobody can see yet.

  • Coming back from a time when being visible cost you something. You're not interested in doing it the old way.

  • Tired of being very good at hiding. You don't feel like yourself anywhere public.

  • Done with courses. You want people doing work as deep as yours who you can connect with and work along side.

HOW WE DO BUSINESS

We do business differently in this circle.

The work is rooted in feminine lifeways and matriarchal business principles: making, growing, and tending life rather than extracting from it. Your business and your body are living things. They have seasons, limits, powers, and needs. We plan and strategize and work accordingly.

What we're building is resilience, inner and outer. The capacity to make the move, feel what it stirs up, stay connected, and recover. That holds for the hard days and for the days when things go really, really well, which can be its own kind of destabilizing.

Visibility is a practice.

WHAT VISIBILITY MEDICINE IS

WHAT VISIBILITY MEDICINE IS

I think of visibility in its most basic, literal sense: the ability to see and be seen. It takes courage and boldness to be a self in the world. I also think visibility is generous, life-giving, and a core human need.

Visibility Medicine is nine months of working on that together, in a circle of inspiring peers. We braid three things:

This magical work is profoundly practical. You will be supported to speak, publish, launch, lead, ask, sell, and show up in ways that fit your work, your desires, your values, your life, and your Authentic Capacity.

SOUL

STRATEGY

moves what is unseen into material form

One project. Nine months. Your sacred laboratory.

You’ll choose a Visibility Focus Project, and everything we do gets practiced on it. People have brought a finished book to pitch to agents, a newsletter to launch, a website to relaunch, a podcast tour, a memoir, a new price.

Some of what has happened in that laboratory:

  • One woman pitched the story she had been afraid to tell, and had two podcast invitations within the day.

  • One launched her updated website after months of spiraling.

  • One finished her manuscript.

  • One doubled the price of her program, and it sold.

  • One now cheers for herself every time she sends an email.

You don’t need to arrive knowing what yours is. We can find it together in our first month. Pick something that feels alive, something that will stretch you and satisfy you.

“So many people sell blueprints (very fucking expensive blueprints.) You have the vision and skills sold by all those coaches, but you apply the knowledge and skill uniquely to each of your clients… Blueprints don’t work.”

Erin Geesaman Rabke

The
VISIBILITY MEDICINE TEACHINGS

These frameworks have held through a pandemic, several social, economic, and political challenges, and a great many of participants personal and professional thresholds. These skills, capacities, and practices will change your business and work, but they’ll also change your relationships, and your self-concept.

The RHYTHM of the NINE MONTHS

What becomes possible:

You take up more space, with less apology.

Alumni say this one in their own words: “I’m not afraid to take up space anymore.” “I feel okay to be bigger in my voice and work.”

You’re visible in a way you can live with.

Your voice, your rhythm, your platforms, your pace. Findable without becoming someone you would cross the street to avoid.

You hit send and get on with your day.

The spiral before publishing gets shorter. So do the days of vigilance afterward. One alum: “I now cheer myself every time I send an email.”

You know which fear to move through and which objection to listen to.

Stretchy, uncomfortable, and unsafe are three different things. You learn to tell them apart in your own body.

A hard day stops costing you the month.

The difficult email, the no, the silence, the unhappy client. You have a plan for those days, written before you need it, and you recover faster.

You say the number.

Your price, your fee, your ask. Out loud, to the person, while staying in your body. One alum shared: “I doubled the price for that program, and it sold.”

You let the good things land.

The praise, the payment, the yes. You get practiced at having success, as well as wanting it.

You move the thing.

The book proposal, the newsletter, the talk, the new offer. Whatever you brought is further into the world than when we began.

And you’ll have good company.

Peers who know your work and keep showing up for it.

MEET YOUR GUIDE

Hi, I'm Danielle Cohen and for fifteen years I've helped healers, leaders, and creative entrepreneurs build businesses, and bodies of work that make money, mean something, and don't cost them their wellbeing or integrity.

I'm a strategist, a somatic practitioner, and a portrait photographer, and I use all three. I've been in business online since 2011, I've taught Visibility Medicine since 2018, and the women I've worked with have written books, right sized their businesses, launched programs, rebranded their platforms, created their signature offers, and changed fields while becoming even more rooted and secure.

I came into this through my own history of what it costs to be seen and what it costs to hide. I built Visibility Medicine because I truly believe we all have important sacred, social work to do and that we deserve to thrive while doing it.
